[Common Excuses Used For Not Getting a Home Inspection]

"BUT I CAN'T AFFORD A HOME INSPECTION."

If you can't afford an inspection, then you can't afford not to have an inspection. Many of the issues detected on a home inspection cost hundreds and even thousands of dollars. Having a home inspection done allows you to ask sellers to make needed repairs, you can share the expense, or you can find another home. Don't let yourself get into a position where a major repair is needed and you can't afford to make it. AmeriSpec is not the cheapest inspection company in town, but we are the best. If you decide that you want to save $50 on the fee of your home inspection, it may very well end up costing you hundreds or even thousands in undected issues as a result of hiring a less qualified and less experienced inspection firm.

"MY UNCLE IS A ELECTRICIAN, HE'LL LOOK AT IT"

Your uncle may be very knowledgeable about electricity, but what about siding, roofing, attics, chimneys, plumbing, foundations, etc? Is he going to go on your roof and in your attic? What if he misses a major item, is he going to pay for it? Probably not. We carry $1,000,000 of errors and omissions insurance to protect you against issues that were visible the day of the inspection. We recommend home warranties to protect against future failures of mechanical items.

BOB AND JUDY LIVED THERE, IT'S OK, RIGHT?

Bob and Judy may be great people, but odds are that they do not know the "true condition" of most of their home. Commonly they haven't seen it, used it, noticed it, or ever knew that it was going on. DO NOT ASSUME, when you do it generally costs you money. Insist on a home inspection, everytime!!!

How are we doing? If you have hired AmeriSpec for your home inspection, we want to hear from you!
